Aurora Afrika Limited Edition
Italy has had a long and checkered relationship with Africa. Aurora made a pen in 1936, called the Ethiopia, which was a service pen for soldiers. It was made of ivory and is extremely rare today. Ethiopia was at the time a colony of Italy.
The color of the Ethiopia fountain pen is much like the lightest tones of this Afrika limited edition fountain pen. Because they are hand made of celluloid, the pattern in each pen is unique.
The ends and gripping section are made of a mat black material that is pleasing to the touch.
It is easy to see just how much ink is left in the plunger filled barrel through the ink window.
The detail above of the celluloid gives us the feeling of open plains, savanna and desert sand.
Tribal shields on a black field encircle the cap band.
An outline of Africa appears on the top of the clip.
The Afrika comes stock with 18K gold single-tone nib and is available in EF, F, OF, OFR, M, OM, OMR, B, OB,OBR, BB, Stub and Italic.
This pen comes with a solid 18K gold nib plated with rhodium, Aurora comes standard with a hard rubber feed, the best in the industry.
