Celluloid has long been recognized as one of the most beautiful pen materials. Considered the first true plastic, celluloid has a unique transparency and depth, a responsive feel different from other plastics. Aurora has had a long history with celluloid, beginning with the International series in 1929, which was developed to compete in the burgeoning world market of that era. Today these celluloid pens compete very well indeed.
