Aurora Optima Auroloide Blue GFT Fountain Pen
Even though this is the same celluloid as the blue pen with rhodium trim, this pen creates a rather different impression. The warmth of the gold contrasts with the rich blue color.
The gripping section is a good length and the flange on the end offers just the right feel for holding the pen.

The 14K nib is in a few key ways superior to the 18K nib. It is generally a stiffer alloy, less likely to be damaged and it offers the possibility of greater flexibility. It has been the standard throughout most of the history of fountain pens.

This pen comes with a solid 14K gold nib and is available in EF, F, OF, OFR, M, OM, OMR, B, OB,OBR, BB, Stub and Italic. We can add some flexibility to this already somewhat soft 14K nib ($65 extra).
