The Optima is the flagship of the Aurora fleet, and for good reason. This pen design has gone through a series of subtle changes since its inception in 1930. The version we see here today, still in celluloid with a 14K solid gold nib and Greek key design around the cap band, unites the best of tradition and change, making the Optima one of the most thoughtfully and carefully designed pens in the world.

Note: All Aurora Optima pens now have a Greek key design above and below the AURORA name on the cap band. The ones pictured here are the old style and are no longer available.

It is comparable in size to the Pelikan M800-- a little shorter, a little wider. The Optima is a full-sized pen.
