David Oscarson Pierrette Limited Edition
We are happy to announce that we will be representing David Oscarson Limited Edition pens.
The Pierrette is part of a duo, Pierrot and Pierrette, the dancing clowns. This is a light hearted pen derived from serious craftsmanship.
For a pen of its size (5.8") this feels like a handful.. It holds a whopping 8.0 ml of ink when filled with the provided eyedropper.
The legend of Pierrot and Pierrette began in the 17th century when Jean-Antoine Watteau committed to canvas two clowns who were later made famous by the Italian Commedia dell'arte. This timeless Duo was then adapted to French pantomime where Pierrot is a noble and fun-loving clown. He is lonely and in love with the beautiful Pierrette, whose affections run hot and cold. When his affections are returned, they can be seen sitting together on the crescent of the moon. When she ignores him, Pierrot sits on the moon by himself, strumming his mandolin and pining for his beloved Pierrette.
Notice the diamond in the center of the clip ball.

Another diamond embellishes the center of the cap and the end of the barrel.
In order to be used as an eyedropper filled pen, an extra "O" ring is provided to double the seal between the section and the barrel. A straight pin is provided to assist in installing and removing the extra "O" ring. The fountain pen also comes with cartridges and a standard universal converter. Empty, it weighs 82 g.
High temperature enamel is fired over guilloché and finished to a high luster on the body of this pen. Only a few people in the world today know this technique.
Each pen is limited to an edition of 88 pieces.

These are also available as roller ball pens.
David Oscarson has his nibs made for him by the world's premier German nib maker, Boch. They have provided their top tier 18K two-tone nib for this pen.
