Inks

We currently carry Pelikan and Pilot-Namiki ink in the bottle or cartridge. We carry Sheaffer ink in the bottle and Sailor ink in cartridges. Please note, we do have minimum order requirement of $25.00.

Pelikan Bottle Inks

These Pelikan inks are available from us in 2 fl.oz (62.5 ml) bottles for $7.90 each:

Blue Black, a deep dark blue
Turquoise, think swimming pool
Brilliant Red, Mandarin toward orange
Brilliant Black, not a wimpy color - this is black
Brilliant Green, grass in the Springtime
Royal Blue, a vivid purplish color
Brilliant Brown, rich chocolate (bottle only)
Violet, intense
Pink, available in cartridge only (see below)
Pelikan Cartridge Ink
Pelikan cartridges fit into several different pens that use the international refill. They can be used in, among others the Bexley, Montblanc, OMAS, Pelikan, Parker, and Waterman fountain pens. They come six to a box for only $2.20 per box.

"Fount India" is a very deep black ink recommended for use in fountain pens. It is described as drawing "ink for fountain pens. Opaque, lightfast". We suggest cleaning the pen before and directly after using any drawing inks. For this intense black color it may be worth the trouble.

Price $6.40 per bottle (30 ml).

Aurora Ink

Known for its rich deep color Aurora ink comes in 45 ml. bottles, and is available in Black and Blue for $11.00 a bottle.

Namiki Bottle & Cartridge Inks

We have Namiki ink and cartridges for sale. The ink comes in both Black seen to the left and Blue, seen just below.

Our Price: $10.00 per bottle

Unfortunately, we can only provide ink accompanying a purchase of a pen or nib, or with a repair order. We provide ink as a service for our customers.

The cartridges come standard 12/box in Blue, Black and Blue/Black for $5 each. We also have Red, Green and Purple 6/box for $3 each. Unfortunately, we can only provide ink accompanying a purchase of a pen or nib, or with a repair order.
Pilot and Namiki pens take either a cartridge or a converter. Many of our customers prefer to use the converter at home or at the office because it is easily filled from the bottle. The cartridge on the other hand is very convenient for travel: after air travel, a new sealed cartridge can be popped into the back of a pen, with no fear of leakage due to changes in pressure. The cartridges also come in a greater range of color.

Sailor Cartridge & Bottled Inks
Cartridges

We carry Sailor Ink Cartridges. Coming 12 to a pack in Black, Blue, Blue Black and Red. These fit all sailor pens that take a cartridge/converter. At $6.55 each these are a convenience, especially for travel.

Red Ink!
Remember to flush your pen using the converter between cartridges or if you plan to store it for a while.

Bottled Ink
We now have dense Sailor colors available in bottles! At $13.25/bottle these gourmet inks are delicious.

These are some of the most intense colors we have. The yellow orange is stunning and the red brown is deep and rich. The green is a
warm green, with a hint of yellow. The blue is ultramarine blue. The gray, blue black and black are excellent examples of their name color and the brown is earthy and deeper than Pelikan's.

Rich and full, these colors sink in and leave a lasting impression on the paper...and on your hands! As you can see in the left hand image, the black, green, yellow and red stain. Even our best ink remover couldn't remove them entirely. We love the colors just be careful with your hands...and white shirts.

Our Price: $13.25/bottle

Sheaffer Ink
Sheaffer Skrip is also known by us as Shop ink. The newly designed bottle contains 50 ml, slightly less then the traditional Skrip bottle, and has a large footprint to avoid tipping over. It is a strong and bright blue. We use this ink in our shop primarily because it can be washed off of our hands at the end of the day and is quite reasonable in price. Bottles get consumed every month. We only carry this one color. At $6.50 a bottle it is an affordable good ink. We have never seen it plug a fountain pen.

Various brands and colors of inks will work differently in fountain pens. We suggest you try a few and see how you like them with your pen and writing style.
Note that using cartridges only can result in a clogged feed. We recommend that you occasionally either fill with the converter or use the converter to clean the inner workings of your pen.
If you are concerned that a water base ink used on an envelope that might get wet and run, rub it with candle wax. This will seal the ink under a transparent layer.
