OMAS Celluloid Scarlet with Hi-Tech and Gold Trim

Though discontinued, we have been able to secure several OMAS Celluloid Scarlet fountain pens. This an extremely unusual model. Only a few of these have ever turned up. These are late production and from the factory in Bologna, Italy.

This color Scarlet, much like the Eversharp Doric Morocco of the mid 1930's (Morocco was a commonly used name for a burgundy colored brief case of that time period.), continues to be in popular demand. As with all other old-style Paragons this pen measures 5.5 inches long and weighs 20 grams.

This pen is made from a "solid block" of nitrocellulose. The random pattern of darker and lighter pearlescent areas is as a result of the nitrocellulose being fused together prior to machining.

The greek key band is Hi-tech (rhodium plated) whereas the narrow bands flanking it are gold. The ring between the blind filler cap and the barrel is also gold. The clip is Hi-tech. Similar to the Paragon, Arco and Celluloid series, the top of this 12-sided cap is cone shaped.

Though this pen comes with a Broad nib, we can offer this OMAS Scarlet fountain pen with any of the following correct 18k rhodium plated nibs: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, and Double broad. This is because we keep a supply of the earlier OMAS nibs in stock.

Our Price: $895.00
