This Pelikan M800 Clear Demonstrator Special Edition breaks new ground for the Pelikan company. The functional parts of this pen are engraved into the barrel and filled with white pigment. This Demonstrator is also available without the markings. See the second picture below. A clear resin barrel allows you to see the patented Pelikan ink reservoir and piston-filling system at work.

We were only able to get a few of these pens, as the production is very limited. Even though it is not categorized as a limited edition pen, we feel that it will not be around for long.

Demonstrators were originally designed to do just that - demonstrate how the pen works. This includes being able to view how the ink moves within the barrel. Not necessarily a "neat" process. Ink can leave little spots on the inside of the barrel. This happens in solid color pens as well; you just can't see it! We like to say, "demonstrators are not for clean freaks". But seeing the tiny air bubbles return to the barrel while you write reveals the physics of the fountain pen.

	The Pelikan "beak" clip and trim are plated in gold for a rich and distinctive look. For those looking for something substantial in the hand - M800 Clear Demonstrator is the perfect fit. At 5 3/5" long and 25.5g this fountain pen is a piston filler requiring an ink bottle to fill. This allows you the flexibility to enjoy any wild color you would like to show through. Or you may put this pen away, never filled with in and amaze the next generation of pen collector. For some people, this will be a tough decision.
This M800 Clear Demonstrator comes with a standard M800 18k two-tone nib unit. We have Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Double Broad, Oblique Medium, Oblique Broad, Oblique Double Broad nibs available for use with this pen. This is one of our favorite nibs to customize. The cursive italic made from a larger size tip is particularly popular. The Pelikan logo is visible on top of the cap crown, and on the nib. As with all Pelikan Souverän pens, the pelikan's bill is the design for the clip. These special fountain pens and are in limited production. Once they are gone they are gone.
