Pelikan M900 in Gold

A friend of ours prefers this as a travel pen, because of its fail proof reliability on airplanes and its subtle understatement at business meetings. This pen combines Pelikan's reliability with a level of quiet authority.

The hand crafted design incised into a sleeve of 24K gold-over-sterling-silver (vermeil) depicts on one side a pelikan with its head bowed (asleep?) The other side is of a pelikan and it's young.

When John was in Frankfurt at the stationary show in 2002, he watched an engraver cutting designs on the barrel of these pens, each one is different, showing hand work. It comes with a certificate which is hand numbered and signed and a very lovely understated presentation box.
