Danitrio's hand-crafted ebonite fountain pens are the result of a unique fusion of Asian, European, and American influences. Hand-finished by skilled urushi and Maki-e artists in Japan, these pens are equipped with 18k nibs provided by the Bock company, creator of nibs for most of the major European pen manufacturers. Danitrio founder Bernard Lyn, based in Southern California, chooses designs and motifs with a connoisseur's eye for style, color, and the unique.
Danitrio pens are available in many basic styles, ranging in size from the mid-size Hakkaku and Densho pens to the very large Mikado and Genkai. A wide variety of finishes are available, from Tame-Nuri and Roiro-Migaki colors to elaborate Maki-e paintings. All Danitrio pens are available from us as special order items - pens already in stock with Danitrio will generally ship in one week or less.
Please note, however, that Danitrio is a very small company with a complex international and artisanal production process. Production and delivery times can vary widely, and items are sometimes discontinued with little or no notice. We urge patience when placing any Danitrio order.
