Danitrio has now ended production of the Hanryo series pens seen on these pages, and no more are available. For similar pens still in production, see the Danitrio Densho or Takumi.
Roiro-migaki technique utilizes a specially refined and oil-free urushi which is then burnished with a special charcoal in a process that can last for several days or more. Danitrio Hanryo pens are made available in Roiro-migaki in Ao (Blue), Kuro (Black), Midori (Green), and Shu (Red).
The Hanryo collection pens are furnished with the 18k Danitrio #5 nib, available in Fine, Medium, Broad, and Stub. These 18k nibs are well-suited to customizations such as Cursive Italic and Left Oblique - see our nib customizations page for more information.
Unless requested otherwise, each pen you purchase from us will be carefully examined, tested, and optimized for your personal writing characteristics before it ships. See our nib set-up and optimization page for more details.
