Available exclusively from us at Nibs.com, the Nakaya Naka-ai Cigar Chinkin Colored Powders Black uses a combination of advanced Maki-e and urushi techniques to create a truly memorable fountain pen. Each pen requires up to a year to be produced.
Our complimentary nib tuning adjusts pressure and ink flow to your personal preferences, and our optional nib customizations can add to the distinctiveness of your writing on the page. We are an authorized Nakaya dealer.
In chinkin technique, a skilled artisan utilizes a specialized engraving tool to cut a motif into the pen body. Precious materials such as gold and silver powders are then carefully applied to wet urushi to create the colorful end result. Each pen can require up to a year to be produced.
Nakaya pens use a convenient cartridge-converter filling system - any bottled fountain pen ink can be used when the pen is fitted with a reusable ink converter, provided by us free of charge with your order. Platinum brand disposable ink cartridges can also be used.
The pen ships in a softwood presentation box with kanji-style calligraphy. A fabric pen kimono and starter pack of Platinum ink cartridges are also included along with the converter.
