Nakaya Desk Pen Kikyo
The Nakaya Desk Pen in Kikyo finish is hand-crafted from ebonite hard rubber and natural urushi lacquer. As versatile as it is unique, this is the perfect addition to any pen aficionado's collection.
Our complimentary nib tuning adjusts pressure and ink flow to your own personal characteristics, and our optional nib customizations can add to the distinctiveness of your writing on the page. We are the sole authorized Nakaya dealer in the English-speaking world.
Each Nakaya pen is hand-turned from sustainably harvested ebonite hard rubber at the Nakaya workshop in Tokyo. Pens are then sent to the traditional craft center of Wajima on the west coast of Japan for hand-finishing in natural urushi lacquer, then returned to Nakaya for final assembly. The process is completed by our individualized nib tuning services, provided by us free of charge with your purchase from us.
Each Nakaya Desk Pen is provided with your choice of 14k solid gold nib. It can be filled with any bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with a converter, provided by us free of charge, and can also use Platinum brand disposable ink cartridges. A paulownia soft wood presentation box, fabric pen kimono, and starter pack of ink cartridges are also included. Optional Desk Pen Stands are also available at extra charge.
