Nakaya Piccolo Cigar Chinkoku Housoge White
Swirls of vines and flowers dance along the entire length of the cap and barrel of the Nakaya Piccolo Cigar Chinkoku Housoge White fountain pen. The Housoge floral pattern has its origins in the Tenpyo period, 729-749 CE, during which time Buddhism was becoming an officially recognized state religion in Japan. The Housoge represents an idealized hybrid "flower in paradise" as envisioned by the Pure Land Buddhism of the period.
With its cream-colored finish and hand-engraved floral design, the Nakaya Piccolo Cigar Chinkoku Housoge White fountain pen is the stunning result of a time-intensive process. The compact Piccolo model provides the perfect backdrop for the delicate Housoge pattern.
Nakaya pens are individually handcrafted in a process that requires a minimum of three to six months and often much longer.
