This is the Nakaya Writer (with clip) in the Long Size. It is hand turned from solid hard rubber rod stock, then lacquered with multiple layers of yellow pigmented natural urushi resins.

First produced by Nakaya on the request of a noted California pen enthusiast, the muted yellow hue of Nanohana-iro has quickly become one of the signature colors of this brand. It is seen here on the Long Writer with gold clip.
Rhodium, ruthenium, and gold platings seem to bring out the best in this color, which suggests military khaki and desert sand.
Nakaya pens can be filled with bottled fountain pen ink using the provided converter, and can also use Platinum brand ink cartridges. Hand-painted Maki-e converters are also available.
The Nakaya Long Writer in Nanohana-iro is provided with your choice of solid gold 14k single-tone nib.
The larger tipped 14k nibs are well-suited to customizations including Stub, Cursive Italic, and Left Oblique, as well as the modification for added flex.
Please note that Nakaya has changed the hue of this finish: the new version can be seen in the base color of the Portable Cigar Zaryu 2 pen.
As with all Nakaya colors, the exact hue of each hand-finished pen may vary slightly. No two will ever be exactly the same.
Nakaya pens ship in a solid softwood shipping box decorated with Japanese Kanji script and lined with decorative rice paper. A fabric pen "kimono" and starter box of Platinum brand cartridges are also included, making this pen a lovely presentation item. Sensible and elegant packaging has long been a hallmark of the Nakaya brand.
Nakaya pens are individually handcrafted in a process that requires a minimum of three to six months and often much longer.
