Nakaya Piccolo Writer Toki-tamenuri
The Nakaya Piccolo Writer in Toki-tamenuri is a classic example of layered tamenuri finish. Each pen is hand-turned and hand-finished in an artisanal process that requires six months or more to be completed.
Our complimentary nib tuning services ensure that your Nakaya pen will also be a superbly everyday writer, and our optional nib customizations can add additional flair and distinctiveness to your writing on the page.
Nakaya pens are hand-turned from natural ebonite hard rubber, sustainably harvested from the Asian rubber gum tree. The urushi lacquer is also a natural substance, refined from the sap of a tree native to Japan and other parts of Asia.
The pen uses Nakaya's convenient catridge-converter system, which allows it to be filled using either Platinum brand disposable cartridges, or any bottled fountain pen ink when utilizing the provided converter. The softwood presentation box includes a fabric pen kimono and starter pack of cartridges, adding to the value and appeal of this pen as a unique and very special gift item.
