Introduced in 2009 and designed by art director Beatrice Fontana, the Waterman Elegance is the epitome of sophistication. The Elegance is a modern take on the Waterman Safety line from the early 1900s. With this contemporary interpretation, Waterman has maintained the cylindrical shape, shortened cap, and intricate metal details of the vintage classic while adding even more luxury for the 21st century.

The Elegance Black Silver is a solid pen, a mid-size pen that will fit comfortably in most hands. The easily removable clutch cap with its slim rhodium-plated clip makes this pen simple to use on the go, and the cap itself is relatively small compared to the total length of the fountain pen.

Small rectangles etched with alternating horizontal and vertical lines form a checkered pattern on the wide rhodium-plated band. Paired with the engraved "Waterman Paris" logo, this geometric pattern adds a contrasting element of lines and angles. The rhodium plating wrapped around the bottom of the barrel finishes in a simple flat cap end, almost like a subtle punctuation mark.
