In line with Nakaya's aesthetic favoring natural materials and simple, streamlined shapes, the Briarwood Collection combines briarwood with warm gold trim. The Nakaya Briarwood Deep Matte is reminiscent of the dashboard of a vintage Jaguar.
The richness of this color comes from the natural grain of the dense, durable and highly fire-resistant wood. As with many objects made to last a very long time, this wood material will only grow richer with use. The understated matte finish allows the organic grain of the wood to take center stage.
The Briarwood Deep Matte is a durable and well-designed cartridge-converter pen. With its easily removable snap cap, the tight seal keeps ink fresh longer without drying out.
Decorative rice paper, a simple solid softwood shipping box decorated with Japanese Kanji script, a starter box of Platinum ink cartridges, and a fabric pen "kimono" are all included with this pen, making it a lovely presentation item.
