The Sailor Pro Gear Classic Briar Wood Urushi is one of the most distinctive pens made available by this storied and iconoclastic pen company. Clear urushi lacquer over natural briarwood gives this pen a warm and memorable appearance.
The cap of this pen is briarwood and the barrel is black urushi lacquer with gold-plated trim. These two materials combine to create a distinctive black and tan two-tone pen. The briarwood is finished to a lustrous gloss which brings up the "signature" of the woodgrain.
The five bands, one above the engraved cap band and others on the barrel, enhance the style of this pen. The filling system is Sailor's cartridge/converter mechanism, taking their standard cartridge or filling from the ink bottle of your choice.
