Order Processing
At nibs.com, we prioritize orders based on when they were placed and classify them into three categories: In Stock, Available, and Backorder. This system helps us ensure that all orders are processed efficiently and effectively. The estimated timeframe for your order to be shipped depends on the item's category at the time of purchase.
In Stock: Orders for items in this category are fulfilled within 2 to 4 business days. These products are physically present in our workshop and ready for immediate shipment upon order placement. This category ensures the fastest delivery for customers who require their pens urgently. It may also include products labeled as "New Arrivals", which are items recently delivered to our workshop for the first time by our manufacturers. Orders with customizations may require additional time for processing.
Available: Orders for items in this category typically require 7 to 10 business days to fulfill. This includes all pens that are not on Backorder or part of our In Stock fulfillment category. These products are readily accessible within our inventory or can be sourced from our suppliers within the specified timeframe.
This category may include products arriving soon or available for pre-order, such as new releases from our partnering brands. These items will be shipped out as soon as they arrive at our workshop, with estimated delivery dates varying depending on the manufacturer's schedule.
Backorder: Specialty products in this category, such as Nakaya fountain pens, may take 3 to 6 months or more to fulfill. This extended timeframe is due to the handcrafted nature of these items, which require meticulous craftsmanship and may involve waiting for specific materials or customization requests.
Backorders are managed individually, and while payment is pre-authorized upon order placement, the full payment is not processed until the item arrives in our workshop. For high-value specialty items, a down payment of 40% will be requested to process your order.
** Rest assured, our team will promptly reach out to customers whose orders exceed the estimated processing time. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the next business day. However, following processing or customization, any modifications or cancellations to your order may result in applicable fees. Therefore, we strongly recommend careful review of your order prior to reaching this stage to prevent any inconvenience or additional charges.

We offer shipping services through USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Shipping options and rates will be displayed at checkout based on your location and the chosen carrier.

Standard Shipping: 5-7 business days
Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days

Free Shipping
We offer free USPS Priority or UPS Ground shipping on all U.S. domestic orders over $100. Orders over $350 sent to Canada will also qualify for free shipping.
International Shipping
We offer international shipping to most countries. Shipping rates and delivery times vary based on your location and the shipping method selected. Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or additional fees imposed by the destination country.
Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number. You can track your order using the link provided in the email.
Shipping Address
Ensure the designated shipping address is correct before completing your order. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. Address changes cannot be made once the order has shipped.
Shipping Restrictions
Certain products may be restricted from shipping to specific destinations. We will notify you if the carrier informs our team that there are any issues with your shipment.
Damaged or Lost Packages
If your package is damaged or lost during transit, please contact our customer service team immediately. Provide your order number and any relevant details. Rest assured, all packages are shipped fully insured for your peace of mind. We will initiate a claim process, which typically requires a 30-day waiting period and must be initiated within 60 days of the delivery date. Once approved, usually within six weeks, we can offer a replacement or refund for your items.
Please note that after 60 days, we are unable to take further action. Your satisfaction is important to us, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you need assistance with your package. We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue.
